Privacy Policy — IMI Educational Apps with Ads (iOS & Android)

Info Media Innovation Co., Ltd. (บริษัท อินโฟ มีเดีย อินโนเวชั่น จำกัด, “IMI”, “we”, “us”) publishes educational applications for iOS/iPadOS and Android. Privacy contact: imi@imi.co.th; website: imi.co.th.
1. Scope and covered apps / ขอบเขต
This policy covers IMI educational app editions containing Google AdMob advertising when the app or its store listing identifies this policy. Such editions may use ADs, AD, Android_ADs or older Free labels. The name alone does not determine data practices: the installed version and the services it uses matter. Both iOS/iPadOS and Android are covered. An app-specific supplement describes any material differences. Existing app-specific privacy policy URLs remain available, including for older installed versions; this policy does not silently change their functionality or permissions.

2. Lesson information and device storage / ข้อมูลการเรียนในเครื่อง
Covered lesson apps do not require an IMI account or ask children to provide their name, email address or contact details to use the lessons. Input such as answers, drawing/writing strokes, scores, progress, language choices and settings is processed on the device. Where the app saves progress or settings, these records are stored locally. IMI does not receive lesson answers, drawings or scores through a remote lesson server and does not supply them to advertising services. Not every app saves progress. Operating-system backup, restore and device synchronisation may apply under your device settings and the platform provider’s policy.

3. Advertising services, data and purposes / โฆษณาและข้อมูล SDK
Ad-supported editions use Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads SDK, and supported versions use Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to manage applicable privacy choices. Advertising services can receive the device IP address (which can indicate approximate location), app/ad interaction information (for example ad requests, taps and views), advertising data, crash reports, performance and other diagnostic information, and device/app identifiers where permitted. The exact identifiers and processing depend on SDK version, platform, settings, permissions and applicable restrictions. Data can be associated with a device or app installation. A non-personalised ad or the absence of an account does not mean that no information leaves the device.
Google and providers participating in Google ad delivery process this information for displaying and measuring ads, supporting app/SDK functionality, diagnosing performance, analytics related to the advertising service, security and fraud prevention. We use AdMob’s reporting to manage advertising. We do not operate a separate server to collect lesson results and do not sell children’s lesson information. Advertising data is processed separately from lesson content. Google describes its recipients, retention and international processing in its own policy. An edition using an additional mediation SDK or analytics provider needs a named app-specific disclosure before adopting this policy.

4. Platform differences and children / ความต่างของแพลตฟอร์มและเด็ก
Our educational apps include lessons used by children. Current child-directed releases must configure age-appropriate advertising restrictions before ad requests, including child-directed treatment and maximum ad content rating, as appropriate to the app and platform. Child-directed requests disable personalisation and remarketing under Google’s applicable settings; this does not eliminate technical data processing. Older installed editions may use different SDKs or configurations; their version-specific policies and store disclosures should be consulted.
- iOS/iPadOS: Apple’s advertising identifier (IDFA) is subject to platform permission. Releases that do not request App Tracking Transparency permission do not thereby have permission to access IDFA or track users. Other permitted identifiers and technical data may still be processed. Any tracking-enabled release needs its own accurate disclosure and authorisation before using such features.
- Android: identifier availability depends on the SDK, manifest and device privacy settings. Child-directed releases must not transmit restricted identifiers such as Android advertising ID where prohibited by Google Play Families requirements. A removed AD_ID permission is not a claim that no other technical data is processed.
- Consent and choices: where required and supported by the release, UMP presents privacy choices and an option to revisit them. Child and under-age treatment may change whether consent messages are applicable. We do not treat installing or using the app as consent to optional processing. A privacy-policy page does not replace required in-app notices or consent.
Parents, guardians and teachers can supervise use and contact IMI about privacy concerns. Children should not provide personal information in support messages or on external websites. A parent or guardian can contact us on a child’s behalf. Policy wording does not by itself establish compliance with Kids/Families rules or replace a parental gate where required.

5. Permissions and device controls / สิทธิ์และการตั้งค่า
These covered releases do not require precise location, contacts, camera or microphone access for lesson or advertising functionality. Audio playback does not require recording your voice. Internet access supports ads and external links. If a future app needs additional permissions or data features, its specific policy and disclosures must explain them before release. Parents can review app permissions, supported privacy/advertising settings, or stop using the app. Controls vary by device; disabling personalisation does not necessarily stop diagnostics or ad requests.
6. External links, websites and support / ลิงก์ภายนอกและการติดต่อ
Some apps link to publisher pages, privacy information, products or other websites. Visiting a website is a separate activity: its operator may receive an IP address, browser details and cookies under that site’s policy. External sites are not automatically covered by this app policy. IMI’s website privacy policy remains at imi.co.th/privacy-policy/; app use does not require website registration. When you email or otherwise contact IMI, we receive the address, message and any information you choose to provide to respond and maintain necessary support records. Please avoid sending children’s personal details or other unnecessary sensitive information.
7. Retention, security and international processing / การเก็บรักษาและความปลอดภัย
Locally retained lesson records remain until removed through app/device controls, overwritten or the app is uninstalled, depending on platform behaviour. Backups may retain separate copies and must be managed separately. IMI has no remote lesson account or central copy of your lesson answers to delete. We keep support and business records only as needed for the relevant service and legal, accounting, security or dispute obligations; contact us about a particular record. Removing the app does not automatically remove information already held by a store or external provider.
IMI uses appropriate safeguards for information it holds but no system is completely secure. Google describes encryption in transit and its data handling in its published SDK information. Advertising, app-store and website providers may process information outside your country under their applicable safeguards and policies. Provider retention periods differ; we do not invent a single retention period for data held by others. We may disclose information we hold where required by law or necessary to address security incidents, fraud or legal claims.
8. Privacy requests and choices / สิทธิและทางเลือก
Contact imi@imi.co.th to request information about personal data IMI holds, access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection, withdrawal of consent where consent is the relevant basis, or other rights available under applicable law. A parent/guardian may make a request for a child. We may ask for proportionate information to verify the requester’s identity or authority and explain any applicable legal limitation. There is no IMI lesson account to delete in these covered apps. Requests about data held solely by Apple, Google or another provider should also be directed to that provider. Where available under applicable law, you may contact the relevant data protection authority, including Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Committee.

9. Updates and contact / การปรับปรุง
We will update this page and its effective date when relevant practices change. Where required, material changes will be communicated and additional consent obtained before affected processing.
